Power from the North Symposium – March 23 & 24, 2015
Save the Date! Join leading policy makers, energy professionals, academics and students from both sides of the international border to discuss an increasingly important Quebec-Vermont/New England electric energy relationship.
“Power from the North” is a two-day conference March 23rd and March 24th that will “tell the story” of this evolving relationship, examine its economic, environmental and social consequences, and ultimately inform present and future decisions regarding energy production, distribution and use in the Quebec-New England region, including the role that Quebec might play in de-carbonizing electric systems. On the conference’s second day, businesses from both sides of the border will participate in business-to-business sessions in order to foster cross-border partnerships and bring innovative energy technologies to market.
The conference also hosts a cross-border student paper/poster competition highlighting student research related to Quebec-New England or Canada-U.S. energy issues. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 papers submitted.
